How to control welding deformation of Shenzhen steel structure workshop?

​In steel structure workshop engineering, there are not many cases that welding deformation directly affects the installation and function of steel components and structures, so the control of welding deformation is very important. So, how do Fast Steel control welding deformation?

According to the causes and influencing factors of welding deformation, the following measures can be taken to control welding deformation:

1. Reduce the cross-sectional area of the weld: on the premise that the weld is intact and without excessive defects, the size of the groove (Angle and gap) should be smaller as far as possible.

2. For the steels with yield strength below 345MPa and not strong hardenability, small heat input should be used to avoid preheating or appropriately reduce preheating and interlayer temperature, and welding methods with low heat input, such as CO2 shielded welding, should be preferred.

3, steel structure thick plate welding as far as possible to use multi-layer welding instead of single-layer welding.

4, in the case of meeting the design requirements, the longitudinal stiffening plate and transverse stiffening rib welding can be used by the discontinuous welding method.

5. When both sides can be welded, the double-sided symmetrical groove should be used, and the welding sequence with the component and the axis should be used in the multi-layer welding.

6. When the t-shaped joint plate is thicker, the groove butt weld is adopted.

7. Use the pre-welding anti-deformation method to control the post-welding angular deformation.

8. Steel structure adopts rigid fixture fixing method to control deformation after welding.

9. Use the component reserved length method to compensate the longitudinal shrinkage deformation of welding seams, such as H-beam longitudinal welding seam can be reserved 0.5mm to 0.7mm per meter length, and the length of each pair of transverse bars can be reserved 0.5mm. Use the reserved circumference method to compensate the longitudinal and transverse shrinkage deformation of welding seam of cylindrical tube members, such as when the plate thickness is greater than 10mm. Each longitudinal and circumferential weld is reserved with a circumference of 2.0mm.

10, for the distortion of the long member, mainly by improving the flatness of the plate and the assembly accuracy of the member, so that the Angle and gap of the groove is accurate, the arc pointing or accurate, so that the deformation of the weld Angle and the longitudinal deformation value of the wing plate and web are consistent along the length direction of the member.
