Reinforcement method for steel column in steel structure machining

We know that steel structure processing is a common way in our life, its purpose is to stabilize its service performance. However, the stability of the machining performance has an important relationship with the reinforcement of steel column.

Steel column reinforcement method for steel structure processing

1. Cross section of reinforced column. Steel structure, with steel plate or section steel processing general reinforcement column section, with welding or bolt to join the original column into a whole.

2. Add support. Support is added to reduce column free length and improve bearing capacity. The stability of the column is improved when the section size is unchanged.

3. Change the calculation diagram to reduce the load or internal force outside the column.

4. The bearing capacity of steel column can be improved obviously by reinforcing it with reinforced concrete.

Two, steel structure processing unloading method

When the column needs to be strengthened or replaced under the unloading state, the method of "joist column replacement" should be adopted. When the steel structure, the processing only need to strengthen the upper column, can use the crane beam bridge to support the roof unloading column. When the next column needs reinforcement or the process needs to cut off the lower column, the joist can be set under the crane beam, and the load of the upper column (including the load of the crane beam) is shared on the adjacent column (if the adjacent column needs to be checked for reinforcement, the foundation should also be checked).

This method should take into account that after replacing the lower column with joist, the joist will have a certain deflection, forcing the original roof to sink, which may damage the connection node of the component connected with the roof frame. Therefore, temporary loads can be applied to the joist in advance so that the joist has pre-deflection. The order of this method is to first reinforce adjacent column, weld joist, adjacent column, add temporary load, weld joist, middle column, unload temporary load, reinforce or cut the lower column.

Three, steel structure processing column foot reinforcement method

1. Reinforcement method for insufficient column foot thickness

In order to reduce the calculated bending moment of the bottom plate, stiffener ribs of the column foot are added in the machining process of steel structure and column. Concrete is poured between the column feet to make the column feet become a rigid block. To increase adhesion, remove paint and rust from the foot surface.

2. Reinforcement method for insufficient anchor of column foot

Add additional anchor bolts. Use when the concrete foundation is wide. The concrete foundation was drilled, additional anchor bolts were inserted, epoxy sand cement slurry was poured, and the entire column was wrapped in reinforced concrete. The new reinforcement shall extend into the foundation and be welded to the existing reinforcement in the foundation.
