What are the basic requirements of steel structure engineering design

1. Steel structure design must meet the needs of socialist modernization construction, implement technical and economic policies of various countries, rationally select materials and structural programs according to the actual situation, so that the structural program can meet the requirements of sustainable development, achieve advanced technology, economic and reasonable, safe application, and ensure quality.

2. Steel structure design should follow the following principles:

(1) The design of building steel structure should first meet the requirements of production process, building function and form, and on this basis to achieve a reasonable, safe, reliable and economic structure. To this end, the structural designer should fully understand the production operation process, building function and artistic requirements, in order to work with the craft and construction personnel to agree on the most reasonable plan.

(2) In the design of steel structure, material supply and construction conditions should be considered, and reasonable selection of materials, structural schemes and construction measures should be taken to meet the requirements of strength, stability and stiffness of the structure in the process of transportation, installation and use, as well as fire prevention standards, and pay attention to the anti-corrosion requirements of the structure. In terms of technical and economic indicators, we should compare multiple schemes, and grasp the main contradiction according to the specific situation through analysis, so as to form a comprehensive economic indicator scheme, so as to save materials, improve production productivity, reduce transportation costs, reduce installation workload and shorten the construction period.

(3) Follow the principle of partial obedience to the whole, should start from improving the comprehensive economic benefits, should not focus on the gains and losses of a component, such as:

1. Unified consideration of superstructure and foundation construction costs;

7.
