The ingot mold is a necessary and revolving bulk ingot casting equipment for die casting production in steelmaking plants. It has an important impact on the surface and internal quality of the ingot and the cost of the ingot. A cast iron model in which molten steel is solidified. Ingot mold life (times) or ingot mold consumption (kg/t steel) is a major technical and economic indicator of steelmaking production.
 

 

Ingot mold
·The main structure of the polygonal ingot mold consists of the ingot mold body, lifting lugs and other components. The body of the polygonal steel ingot mold is composed of the mold wall, the mold bottom and the brick hole plugged in the mold bottom.
 
·The square steel ingot mold is a tool for die casting billet, and the square steel ingot mold can be forged and rolled, so it is widely used. The square steel ingot mold can be made into two types with a cap opening or an additional cap opening.
 
·The plum blossom ingot mold is a mold for solidifying molten steel into a steel ingot, most of which are cast from pig iron. Its service life fluctuates greatly, generally 60 to 80 times. The shape and size of each part mainly depends on the smelting and thermal processing process, the type of product and the quality of the ingot, usually using resin sand casting process.
